ASTRONOMERS
Astronomers study celestial bodies like planets, stars, and galaxies. Most astronomers need a college degree. Most require a graduate degree. But a doctoral degree is usually preferred. Higher level jobs require higher degrees. In elementary and middle school, you should concentrate on math and science but you need to well in all subjects. Outside of school, you should look at the sky at night and learn the constellations. Visit observatiories, science museums, and planetaries. In high school, you need to start focusing more on math and science. You can even start taking honors and AP classes. You also need to do well in English. But astronomers need to be well rounded in all subjects. Outside of school, you could continue to read science books, look at the night sky, and join an astronomy club if possible. In college, if an astronomy major is not available, you should take a physics major. Computer courses are also very handy. You should take all kinds of classes to get a good education. You also need to learn to write clearly if you have not already. Many astronomy jobs require a graduate degree. external image astronomers-1-320x240.jpg
